Welcome back & Bike Ride news!

A huge welcome back to all our families, and an even bigger welcome to our new families who have children starting reception in the next few days - we hope you'll find Harris ED to be a friendly, welcoming, supportive and fun community!

The PTA already have plenty planned for autumn term (click here to see what's on our calendar) and first off the blocks is our very first fundraising bike ride, "Pedal to the Pebbles"! The gang has been busy training over the last few weeks and would love your support:

On September 22nd, a Harris Primary ED parent peloton of 20 valiant riders are taking on the (significant) ups and downs of the London to Brighton cycle route. The funds raised will be used for sports and fitness initiatives for our children at school: Research says that active kids are more confident and resilient, are better behaved, and have higher attainment - what's not to love?

Our team have been training all summer and have also worked incredibly hard to secure sponsorship from generous local businesses to cover all their costs, so every penny of your donations will go directly to benefit our kids.

So, please support their efforts by sponsoring an individual rider, or just donating to support the team as a whole. Every pound raised will be hugely appreciated by our riders, and will REALLY spur them on when they hit the "green monster", Ditchling beacon!
