Fun Run & Welcome Picnic 2022
One of the healthiest days of the year is back!
Harris Primary East Dulwich Fun Run 2022 will be held on Sunday 18th of September.
And this year we are combining it with the Welcome Picnic! No better way to warmly welcome new folks into the Harris family, by competing against them in a race.
If you have never run a 5K and are not sure where to start or have and are looking for a motivator to get you back in the groove, check out our training programs for beginner, intermediate and advanced runners. You can find them on the registration page!
There will be two children's races and an adult race.
Reception - Year 2: 1K
Year 3 - 6: 2K
Adults: 5K
While kids are free to register and run, we are hoping they raise some funds via sponsorship.
Adults are £10 to register.
Every child will receive a Fun Run 2022 t-shirt with the winning designs from our fun run design competition!
All the funds raised will be allocated to Project Playground.

There will be a BYO food & beverage Welcome Picnic following the race. Stay, hang with friends, make some new, share a dish or beverage and let the kids run around some more, because we all know they won't be tired.

When?
Sunday 18th September from 11am - 2pm
Race times are as follows:
Reception - Year 2: 11:00AM
Year 3 - 6: 11:45AM
Grownups: 12:30PM
Where?
Alleyn's Sports Fields, Townley Road
How much does it cost?
Each adult pays £10, Children are free but we hope they will raise at least £10 in sponsorship
How long is the course?
The adult run is 5 kilometres, the younger kids will run 1 kilometre and the older children will run 2 kilometres.
Can my kids run by themselves?
No. All under 11s must be accompanied by an adult, and the minimum ratio is 4 kids to 1 adult
Will there be stewards and first aiders?
Yes the course will be stewarded by volunteers and we will have qualified first aiders on hand
Can my non-Harris friends and family join in?
Why not? The more the merrier - as long as they have paid their registration fee, all are welcome!
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, all participants must be over 4 years of age.
What do we need to bring?
Please bring plenty of water, sun protection if needed and a picnic lunch!
Will the children get a t-shirt this year?
Whilst we had a t-shirt competition, we were unable to order the t-shirts in a timely manner, and without incurring significant costs. Like everything, the increase in supply chain delays and material prices have impacted the clothing and manufacturing industries. DON'T FRET! We will acknowledge the competition winning designs!
What if I just want to cheer from the sidelines?
You are very welcome to! Although we would love it if you would register (or donate) anyway - it's for a very worthy cause!
Where does my money go?
All proceeds go directly into the PTA pot for Project Playground which will happen over October half term!
Just think - with your help, our children could be coming back to school after a long break, with a new pitch and a softer place to play.
